iPhone Sparring Deck

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

As part of our ongoing work for the Crazy Monkey brand we were asked to work on an iPhone boxing application. The app draws random cards from a Sparring deck to isolate combinations. The app can be used as an adjustable round-n’-rest timer, (apparently the first of its kind for the iPhone) so it is great for any type of timed rest and recovery exercise. The best thing is that the app can be downloaded free here!

We somehow arrived at an appropriately crazy wild west style full of stars n’ pugilist monkeys….

…enjoy the artwork.

Riki’s Free Brushset

Friday, February 5th, 2010

I have been stuck behind the Wacom all this week and out of the wet-studio, so I decided to post a few of the brushes I use for preliminary paintings and scamps. They all lend themselves to the type of broad strokes you should be using for speed-painting or scamp work but they have quite a nice natural look, so hopefully they will provide a good base for whatever you use em’ for.

If you don’t know the drill, unzip the files and save them into your brushes folder. Then, from the brushes menu in Photoshop, click on ‘load brushes’ and either select the .abr file from wherever you have saved it, or just drag and drop the file into the load brushes window.

Click here to download the brushes.

Drop us a mail if you need anything else. You can see what they look like below.
