Autolectron Concept Sketch

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

We are very proud of the fact that we get repeat business from almost all of our clients. Getting a call from a client who gave us one of our first commissions is just fantastic. This is just one of the first concept sketches for a new piece for Autolectron: the ingenious data management engineers who commissioned “Symphony of Steel”.

Full steam ahead!

Friday, May 28th, 2010

Things have been particularly busy at glyph this week, and unfortunately most of the concepts we have been working on are confidential. We figured it would be apt to post this (slightly more than a week old) train sketch, seeing as our studio is running full-steam-ahead!

Further developments to our UMT concepts. This is a great example of how the imagination and warped digital perspective can add a new dimension to your businesses interior. This was completed by Riki Rongo. Great job!

We are working on a 3d version of our tree – but before we could start to render it up we had to do some concepts and a few orthographic sketches – this is one of them!

Riki’s WIP

Friday, April 9th, 2010

Because I work on pretty large format landscapes, my paintings tend to take a little longer and as a result, I don’t post as often. For sketch of the week we decided to post a crop of one of my work-in-progress paintings! I will post the full image as soon as it’s done!

Minister of Arts and Culture

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

This is a sketch of our Minister of Arts and Culture: Lulu Xingwala. She has been in the news recently for walking out of a women’s art exhibition; apparently offended by a series of photographs by Zanele Muholi. The work, that features naked women embracing was deamed “immoral, offensive and going against nation-building” by the Minister.
